Get Elected Or Lie Trying

Hill should just give it up already. Don’t lie about Bosnia. Don’t bring down Obama. Don’t take the Tonya Harding approach.  I don’t understand what she’s trying to accomplish. I don’t understand how she can be so incredibly selfish. Even she must acknowledge that jeopardizing Obama’s shot at presidency is a TERRIBLE idea. McCain. Ahhh. He would destroy America. Obama is the obvious choice for democratic nomination, the obvious choice for president. McCain and Clinton don’t got nothing on him.

But I think the teenager could’ve easily been some cold-blooded killer who could’ve just taken his coat and stabbed him.

Which I suppose makes it even more remarkable that he wasn’t.

Too Much Faith

An 11-year-old girl died of treatable diabetes because her parents prayed instead of seeking medical help.

This reminds me of that joke/parable/story of the guy who died in the flood. He sat on a roof and refused to be rescued, first one boat, then by another boat, and finally by a helicopter. When he reached heaven he asked God why God had let him die, and God said, “I sent two boats and a helicopter.. What more did you expect?!”

It frustrates me so much to hear that things like this happen.

Fact of Life #4: Faith is good. Too much faith is bad. Everything, even religion, in moderation, I suppose.

Fact of Life #3: Even though the majority of teenagers are painfully nice well mannered, a group of unruly, annoying, uncivilized teenagers always seem to ruin our image.

Case in point. On the train ride home today from nyc (more on that trip later when I’m not so exhausted), there was this group of guys. Guys that I could most definitely find in my school. Being loud. And just overly rambunctious and irritating. It’s annoying when I see teenagers like that because, at the risk of sounding far too old and uptight, they give “these kids nowadays” such a bad image. I, and most of my friends and the people I know, do not see any need to disturb an entire train full of people when we’re having fun. I wouldn’t care if it was just their own ass on the line, but when my ass is involved, no.

So yea! More on Avenue Q and almost passing out at a Borders in NYC tomorrow!

Spring Break

First day of spring break and I’ve already messed up my biological clock.

I’ve been exhausted all week from lack of sleep.. So crashed at around 6 pm yesterday.. Then my friend called and woke me up at 10:30, and I couldn’t fall asleep until 4 am.. So I woke up close to 1 pm today. This is gonna be a great spring break! Heh.

Do people expire?

While I was volunteering at the hospital the other day, an old man died. He was DNR. The nurse told me to start taking apart his chart, because he had expired. Is that the word they normally use? It’s possible, but either way it made me feel like he was being likened to something insignificant.. like some carrots that you throw out when it’s a day past its “best by” date. Also, he had been yelling and making a fuss just an hour or so before. Weird, how quickly death can just come by. His family came by soon after, and I felt bad seeing them so distraught. :/

What’s so great about Ashley Dupré?

If you read that right it rhymes a little haha.

Anyways. The vast majority of people who found my post yesterday found it cause it was tagged “Ashley Dupre”, or something like that. I think something like 3 people found it by searching for Eliot Spitzer or Spitzer, and maybe 1 or 2 found it by searching for Silda Spitzer.

 Which is sad, isn’t it? That so many people are so interested in Ashley?? Eh.

Am I the only one who thinks his wife is prettier than his hooker?

In any case, this all really sucks for everyone involved. Especially his wife. I don’t think there are any words to describe what she must be feeling. And he seems like a smart guy too. Shame.

But I suppose Ashley must be at least a little bit pleased, (Probably not a lot, seeing as her reputation is pretty much shot. Must be hard to look her parents in the eye after that. I don’t think I’d be able to for quite a while.) seeing as she’s getting the publicity that she needs to get her music career going. I guess that’s one way to get fame. And money, apparently. Over a thousand bucks an hour?? Daaamnnn.
